This we will protect

An independent NGO and NFP, run entirely by volunteers. We research the threats to Canada’s national security and advise those who defend against them, serving as a direct feedback loop to the Government of Canada.

About this image

The heraldic knight is presented as a weathered sculpture rather than a perfect game piece: worn and fragmentary, the way a classical marble survives. Its form recalls Roman marble sculpture of the 2nd century BCE to the 2nd century CE, works that read as old and enduring. The chess knight is the charge of the arms of the Centre, chosen for the strategic character of its advice.

What we do

Research

We monitor the threats facing Canada across six security domains, from criminal networks to active conflicts, drawing on an international network of researchers and a growing set of online tools.

Advise

We shape Government of Canada policy and help Canadian organisations and professionals mature their security posture, serving as a direct feedback loop to the Government of Canada.

We bring people together through our flagship conference, candid sessions, and forums, a community sustained by the members whose support makes the work possible.
