Criminal threats

Monitoring transnational and domestic criminal threats to national security.

The Centre operates an internal monitor of the criminal threats that bear on national security, from illicit finance to transnational organised crime. It consolidates publicly accessible and lawfully obtained sources into a single view, so that the points where criminal activity meets the Centre’s remit can be seen without stitching together a dozen separate feeds.

The work sits within the Observational Research Department. Like the Centre’s other monitoring tools, it runs on the Centre’s own infrastructure and informs the advice the Centre provides to the entities it supports.
