Active conflicts

The Centre operates an internal monitor of the world’s active armed conflicts. It draws publicly accessible and lawfully obtained signals into a single operational picture, so that theatres receiving little analytical attention, relative to their humanitarian and security consequences, are not lost from view.

Analysts in the Observational Research Department work from it to correlate events across sources and trace each observation back to its origin. It runs on the Centre’s own infrastructure and informs the advice the Centre provides to the entities it supports.
